I'm All Out Of Air

by Kay Heitsch

Mary and I were walking down the hall singing at the Memory Care Center when she turned and looked at me and said, "I'm all out of air!" Then she asked, "Do you know why?" Curious as to what her response would be I replied, "Why?" With a twinkle in her eye and a grin on her face she answered, "All my air is going out the other end!"

That High Note!

 by Kay Heitsch

It was another walking day at the Memory Care Center. One way I found that would keep the lady I helped calm was to wheel her around in the wheel chair. To pass the time while walking we liked to sing. One day we were walking and Mary, another resident, started to walk and sing along with us. Mary suggested we sing, "The Lord's Prayer." As you know, "The Lord's Prayer" starts out low and ends on a high note. When we finished on the high note Mary was out of breath. She looked at me with a beet red face and gasped, "That high note almost made me explode out of this - - - - bra!"

I Don't Want You To Think

by Kay Heitsch

Several years ago I did Marketing for a company. Since I enjoy walking I thought I'd go door to door and pass out the brochures. One sunny day I knocked on the door of a condo. An elderly man opened the door. I smiled! I started explaining why I was there when he interrupted me. I sure wasn't expecting what he was going to say! With a quizzical look on his face he asked, "I don't want you to think I'm coming on to you, but are those your real teeth?"
